COLAB EXTENSION IS ‘RAY OF HOPE’ FOR DONEGAL – TD

first_imgWork started last week to double the size of Letterkenny’s CoLab building.Donegal TD Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has hailed the confirmation of a 20,000 sq ft extension to the CoLab business incubation and development centre at Letterkenny Inistitute of Technology (LYIT) as “a ray of hope” to Donegal’s “battered economy”.The extension is part of an All Ireland/ Cross Border partnership with the North West Regional Cross Border Group and Northern Ireland Science Park with the other new development at the Fort George site in Derry City.Deputy Mac Lochlainn said: “I commend the leadership of Paul Hannigan, Patsy Donaghy and all the team at LYIT and CoLab on this tremendous achievement that is a ray of hope to Donegal’s battered economy. “It demonstrates clearly to investors the potential of our county and the potential of this North West cross border economy. This project is about the strengths of the region and the vital importance of working together on an All Ireland basis to promote the region.”He said his colleague, Martina Anderson, Sinn Féin MEP for the Six Counties deserves great praise too for her passionate support for this project at European level.“I have visited CoLab on many occasions along with my party colleagues to meet the businesses that are based there. It is a superb facility and an immense resource for job creation in Donegal. I have no doubt that this extension will be equally successful.“I hope that the IDA can now build on this positive development and start to bring new jobs to this county. Their track record over recent years has been abysmal in Letterkenny and Donegal. This CoLab extension proves that with vision and determination, Donegal can market itself as a place to do business and create employment.”  COLAB EXTENSION IS ‘RAY OF HOPE’ FOR DONEGAL – TD was last modified: April 29th, 2014 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:CoLabextensionPADRAIG MACLOCHLAINNlast_img read more
