Bradford appoint new manager 12 hours after giving Michael Collins the boot

first_img Hopkin made 11 appearances in a short spell as a Bradford player Bradford City have confirmed the appointment of David Hopkin as their new manager, the morning after they confirmed the departure of former boss Michael Collins.The Bantams fired Collins on Monday night after a poor start to the campaign, and Hopkin was in position just 12 hours later on Tuesday morning. 2 The 48-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the League One club.Hopkin, who had a brief spell as a player at Valley Parade, has been out of work since leaving Scottish club Livingston in the summer.He told the club’s official website: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Bantams and cannot wait to get started.“This is a huge opportunity for me. We have a talented squad and I am looking forward to working with the players and staff.“The club is ambitious and so am I.
