The local product from West Des Moines Valley set the table for Drake’s offense in the leadoff spot with a team-leading .380 batting average. Roemmich raised her play in Missouri Valley Conference action with a .432 batting average, which ranked second in the league. For the season, Roemmich had a team-leading 11 doubles, 52 hits and .481 on-base percentage and was second in runs scored with 26. In the field, she tallied a .967 fielding percentage along with 79 putouts, 102 assists and committed just six errors. Roemmich garnered All-MVC Second Team accolades for her breakout freshman season. The all-region selections honor softball student-athletes from the NFCA’s 10 regions with first, second and third team selections.
